Once you have downloaded and unstuffed the application package file from the iPassepartout product page, we suggest to put the iPPT folder into the "Applications" folder. For the iPPT folder we mean the folder containing the iPassepartout application, whose name could be "iPassepartout 1.0" or "iPassepartout 2.5.1" or other.
Then open the iPPT folder (see picture 1 aside) and drag the application icon "iPassepartout" onto your Dock (see picture 2 aside). This way you will be able to launch iPPT clicking on the icon in the Dock.
• RegistrationFile.txt
When you dowload the application package from our web site, it doesn't contain the RegistrationFile.txt (see picture aside, the file indicated by the red arrow). This file unlocks the shareware limitations.
If you already registered for the version 1 (you have the right to run all the 1.X.X versions), you should put the file RegistrationFile.txt we sent you via email, inside this folder, as shown at the picture 1 aside.Then delete (or stuff) any other and unregistered copy of the program iPassepartout located elsewhere on your disk.
If you didn't register iPPT, thus the RegistrationFile.txt is not inside the iPPT folder, iPassepartout will run with a time limit and without some features: it will allow you to use it for few minutes only (then it will quit) and will not allow you to delete the selected files from the disk. Also, the unregistered copy, at launch, always shows the splash-screen for 3 seconds. To unlock these limits, you have to register your copy at the Kagi store and get the RegistrationFile.txt as explained here below.
• Register iPassepartout:
Register iPPT is fairly simple: through the web Kagi store (quick, easy and secure payment on-line).
- To register on the web:
Go to the web page http://order.kagi.com/?U3S
1 - Choose the product and how many copies you want.
2 - Click on the button "Continue" and the invoice form will appear.
3 - Fill the fields regarding your name, email, address, Credit-Card data then click on the button "Purchase". That's all.
If your browser supports, you can switch on SSL secure payment form (SSL is the internet international standandard secure form of payment).
- After the registration:
Kagi (the company who handles our payment processing) will send you via email the approved invoice, in max 3 days (usually in few minutes if you paid by Credit Card). After that you will receive by us, via email, a little TextFile ("RegistrationFile.txt") you have to put inside the iPPT folder (as shown at the picture 1 aside). Then you can launch your iPPT application and it will run without limitations. iPassepartout is one only application file either for the full version and for the lite version. If you buy the Lite license, you will be able to browse Text file only. If you buy the Full license, you will be able to browse Text, Image, PDF, Song and Movie files.
Always leave the RegistrationFile.txt there in order to run iPPT without limitation. But if you lost it, no problem; ask us for it and we'll send you that again via email.
Also, please be sure you have no other copies (older or newer) of the iPassepartout application on your disks, because the Finder could launch an unregistered copy located elsewhere.
You don't have to rename nor open nor modify the RegistrationFile.txt. It contains encrypted data.
We use to send the "RegistrationFile.txt" within 24 hours (usually in few hours), so if you haven't heard anything after 3 days, most likely you have given an Invalid Email Address. If you didn't receive the Email from Kagi, please go to the Kagi web site and get information on your order. If you received the email from Kagi but you didn't receive the email from us (with the RegistrationFile.txt) please contact us at info@softobe.com providing your alternative email address (with a different domain).
 Don't forget to include your email address in the order. If you have not got one, send your friend's email address. We cannot accept orders without your email, because we can only send by email the "RegistrationFile.txt" (which unlocks the shareware limitations). Also, we don't deliver our products via mail. The only way to get our products is by downloading.
