| The result of a search is populating the items found list. On this list you can do the following tasks: Sort: you can sort the list clicking on the header of the column you want to sort. iPassepartout will show the sorted column blueout. Clicking a second time on an already sorted column will invert the sort order. Select: simply click on a item of the list to select it. iPassepartout will show the content of the selected file on the bottom or right side of the split view. You can select more than one item clicking on the item and holding down the Command key. Anyway iPassepartout will show the content of the last file you selected. You can even select all the files in list choosing the menu Edit:All. Reveal a file in the Finder: click on a item of the list holding down the ALT key in order to reveal the file/folder in the Finder. Copy: dragging the selected items to the Finder will create a new copy of the files to the destination. Dragging the selected items to other application will produce the same effect you get when you drag those files from the Finder to that application. Delete: you can remove the selected items from the item found list simply pressing the backspace key. This task doesn't delete the file from the disk. It only removes the selected items from the iPassepartout's found items list. In order to delete or move to the trash the selected files from the disk simply press the backspace key holding down the Control key. You will be asked to delete, move to the trash or cancel the current task by an alert dialog. Add items: you can add items to the list simply dragging the items from the Finder to the list (see picture 3 aside). If you drag a folder, iPassepartout will list all the files and all the subfolder it contains, recursively. You can even drag files and folders onto the iPassepartout icon in the Finder (or in the dock) in order to get the list of the dropped items. If iPassepartout is not launched, it will do quickly, then it will list the dropped items. |
